In 2016, Paulie and I participated in fundraisers to help the senior and special need dogs at the local shelter. We did this until 2020. The donations went into a special stipend just for them. These are the thank you letters that my husband and I received from the organization that monitored the funds. The email below was a total surprise to me on Thanksgiving back in 2016. We always exceeded our fundraising goals. This is the last one that I did in 2023 while volunteering at a rescue. As a tradition since 2008 after the passing of our first cat, Killer, I would make  a donation in memory of all our three pets every year to animal organizations.
